Amrita Hospital Hosts Workshop on Heart Health
Amrita Hospital, Kochi, hosted a four-day workshop on "Environmental Epidemiology and Cardiovascular Health" from February 3rd to 6th, 2025, in collaboration with CCDC New Delhi, Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, Ashoka University, and Karolinska Institutet, Sweden.
The workshop aimed to deepen knowledge on environmental exposures affecting cardiovascular health, including air pollution, temperature, green spaces, and noise, while providing hands-on training in epidemiological analysis.
Dr. Prem Nair, Provost & Group Medical Director, AIMS, inaugurated the event, with key contributions from Dr. Krishnakumar, Dr. Aswathy S., and Dr. K.R. Thankappan. Around 50 participants from top institutes across India took part in this capacity-building initiative, enhancing expertise in environmental health research.
