Pingu Pop-up Store at The Tokyo Skytree, Japan | 360 Video

Continuing the Tokyo Skytree series, I unexpectedly stumble across a Pingu pop-up store while exploring the shopping floors.

For anyone unfamiliar, Japan absolutely fell in love with Pingu over the years, to the point where the character still gets tons of merch, collaborations, cafés, and special events. Pingu was even turned into a cute retro pixel game in Japan for the Game boy, which is what this pop-up was mainly celebrating.

The event space had several cute little photo-op areas set up, including statues of Pingu and Baby Pingu, along with small interactive wall puzzle games for kids and even a coloring area.

It was surprisingly cozy and charming, especially tucked away inside the giant Skytree shopping complex.

After exploring the pop-up for a bit, I head over toward the Kirby Café hoping to check it out… only to discover they were already completely sold out for the day.

Unfortunate, but honestly not surprising considering how insanely popular Kirby Café is in Tokyo.

So instead, we move on and continue exploring in the next video.

This video continues the Tokyo Skytree series as I keep discovering unexpected themed shops, pop-ups, and attractions hidden throughout the massive shopping complex.

Did you ever watch Pingu growing up, or is this your first time hearing about him? Let me know in the comments!
