WHAT’S REALLY HAPPENING TO JAPAN?

Japan has recently seen a series of devastating shrine and temple fires that have shocked many people across the country.

In this video, I talk about:

• why shrines and temples are so IMPORTANT to Japanese culture
• the recent fires and the public reaction
• online rumors and rising xenophobia
• the dangers of blaming groups without evidence
• and why preserving Japan’s cultural heritage matters now more than ever.

This video is NOT about spreading conspiracy theories or attacking any religion or ethnicity.

My goal is to have a nuanced conversation about cultural preservation, fear, identity, and the emotional impact these incidents are having on society. I also want to talk about how we can avoid society becoming devided like many countries around the world today.

Shrines and temples are part of the HEART of Japan.

Protecting them should bring people TOGETHER, not divide them.
