Thousands of believers have gathered to defend their sacred site, while the authorities are trying to deceive the public that the Ukrainian Orthodox Church supports Russia. However, hundreds of UOC believers have been defending Ukraine at the front lines. This religious war has sparked a debate on religious freedom in Ukraine, and thousands of people are set to continue fighting for their beliefs in 2023.
