Today we’re counting down 10 players who should consider hanging up their boots due to age, form and fitness. From Diego Costa, whose exit from Atletico Madrid this season signalled the end of a highly disappointing second spell at the club, to Daniel Sturridge, who has been out of work for well over a year, many of these players are all well past their best and are no longer up to the standard of the Premier League, LaLiga or the Champions League.

We also talk about Gianluigi Buffon, who could leave Juve on a high but is still considering fighting for a place at the 2022 World Cup! Meanwhile, Demba Ba is still on the lookout for a new club, as are Wilfried Bony and Mario Mandzukic, while Goran Pandev and Phil Jagielka will surely call it a day this year.
