Cleaning mold out of a window AC unit.

After dragging our window AC out of storage, I noticed that it was full of mold. Instead of buying a new one, I decided to see if I can clean it.

EDIT: This unit was in operation for 3 days before we realized that it had mold in it. Nobody got sick from it, which is why I felt comfortable working with it.

EDIT 2: The unit developed more mold the following summer (2018). I washed it again using bleach, water and vinegar. The bleach wasn't enough to permeate into the Styrofoam, but the vinegar did. I just checked the unit (in storage, as it is winter) and it is still free of mold.
