May Morning Dew with Seán Keane

Here Seán sings May Morning Dew beside the fire in his ancestral home, an old thatched cottage nestled in the Galway countryside in the west of Ireland. May Morning Dew was one of the first songs he was taught by his sister Dolores at the tender age of six or seven, under the instruction of their mother, who wanted to see if the lad could sing. There began his adventure into the world of music and song as Seán went on to win various local, county and national competitions right up until the age of 15, winning 13 All-Ireland Championships in succession as part of the Fleadh Cheoil Na hÉireann, a world renowned traditional Irish music festival that has been running for almost seventy years.
