Paul Rodgers Celebrates New Record and Promotes Music Education

Paul Rodgers, longtime singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, will visit the New York Stock Exchange and ring The Closing Bell® to highlight the Feb. 4th release of The Royal Sessions. A collection of classic songs unique to the Memphis sound, The Royal Sessions captures the music in its purest form, and features live band and vocal takes performed together at Royal Studios by Rodgers and an all-star roster of legendary musicians.

A successful musician and champion for music education, Rodgers has sold more than 90 million records during the course of his career. He attributes this success to his exposure at an early age to American music recorded in Memphis by such legends as Otis Redding, Sam & Dave, Albert King, Isaac Hayes and others. One hundred percent of the proceeds from The Royal Sessions will be donated to the Stax Music Academy, an institution in Memphis that helps inner city kids learn music, and in a broader context, responsibility and a sense of community.
