Hello Friends! Welcome back! Today I am exploring and playing with the Bloom Swipe technique.. I really love watching all the cells pop up. I've been figuring out composition and learning that 'Less is more' most of the time with this technique. It has been challenging but so much fun! Let's get started!

My Colors are:
Golden's

Modern Masters
- Olympic Gold
Pillow Paint:
Behr Premium Plus
Interior/ External High Gloss
- Ultra Pure White plus
- Golden GAC800
Pouring Medium:
- Behr Deep Base plus
- Minwax Polycrylic
Cell Activator:
Australian Floetrol
Amsterdam Lamp Black
There is NO Silicone
in Any of My Paint.

Colors Pouring Medium:
Behr Premium Plus Interior Exterior Hi-Gloss Enamel Deep Base + Minwax Polycrylic
2 to 1.2 Ratio paint to Polycrylic

Pillow Paint:
Behr Premium Plus Interior Exterior Hi-Gloss Enamel Ultra Pure White Paint and GAC800
32 oz. paint Plus 2 oz. GAC800

Cell Activator:
Australian Floetrol and paint
3 to 1 ratio Floetrol to paint

Almost from the first time I spun out some cells I started thinking that they were shaped like pomegranate seeds.. and I really wanted that beautiful dark ruby color. The Golden's Maroon seemed like a perfect choice, and I loved how it worked with my favorite chameleon color, Nickel Azo Gold.

I'm using a 16x16 inch Birch wood panel. I'm not actually very happy with them tho because the Birch part is very very thin and one of them had some imperfections.

I did use some Arteza wood panels that were wonderful, I will definitely get more of those in other sizes!

I used Behr Premium Plus Interior Exterior High Gloss Paint in Ultra Pure White, and some Golden GAC800 for my pillow paint.

My Pouring Medium was Behr Premium Plus Interior Exterior High Gloss Deep Base mixed with Minwax Polycrylic.

My Cell Activator was Australian Floetrol with Amsterdam Lamp Black.

The thing that I learned most from this session of Bloom Swipes is that Less is More. This is very challenging for me, because I love the colors and always want to have more of the paint.. but I am learning to use less and be able to really stretch out the cells and leave some negative space in the pieces. It has been incredibly fun watching the cells pop up and grow and figuring out composition!

I really love all the pieces I did with these colors, and I like the '2 swipe' technique that creates that calm area in between.
I hope you all enjoyed watching these too, I will definitely keep practicing! I would like to eventually incorporate some aspects of the bloom swipes into my other 'regular' acrylic pours.
