The Panasonic S5 has been out for around a year now, and while the 'serious filmmakers' have taken a massive liking to this little beast, I feel like the uptake from vloggers and online content creators has been a little slower.

Unfortunately, the Panasonic Lumix S5 gets tarnished for its AF, when in reality, it's definitely useable and is more than capable for online content creation.

As most of my viewers will know, I've been repping the Panasonic S5 and Panasonic S1 on this channel for a while now, and stand by their video AF performance.

I hope that this video is a good example of the video AF in context and gives you a better idea of the results that you'll get if you use the Panasonic S5 for vlogging.

It's also worth mentioning that I was using the absolutely AWESOME Panasonic 16-35 F4 S Pro lens in this video too.

This lens is absolutely sublime, with great autofocus, lovely colours and incredible sharpness. Hands down my favourite lens I've ever used in the L Mount system.

If you've ever considered vlogging with the Panasonic S5 and have a little bit of money left over for a lens, then definitely give the 16-35 a look. It's on the more premium side in terms of pricing, but it warrants it with the quality you get out of it.
