Meet Summit!

Summit’s people already had some great foundations with her general obedience but she needed some practice in busier environments similar to where they lived as this was harder for Summit to focus on her people. She would pull and get distracted by other dogs or people who looked at her, eye contact can be pretty intimidating. At home she had the distractions of little human and a feline friend that we’re making it hard to teach her some calm.

She didn’t take very long to settle into her new environment at Homestead and loved to work. When training is made to be fun, our dogs want to work for us. We worked on her leash manners around lots of different distractions and environments, we threw lots of challenges at her and she took it all on board. We also worked on her bed command to help her out at home, teaching her there is a time for play and a time for relaxing.
