Reflections on 2017 at Farm Sanctuary

At Farm Sanctuary, each day is cause for celebration as we honor the incredible journeys your support makes possible. But today, we celebrate you, and the hope and strength you have delivered when we needed it most. Thanks to you, hundreds of animals came to Farm Sanctuary's shelters this year, escaping cruel fates such as factory farming, backyard butchers, and neglect. If not for you, these animals would have remained largely invisible, and we couldn't have made this year's critical strides in advocating for their rights or educating the public about their sentience (and the important lessons they can teach).
Instead, we are happy to share with you — our hero — the following stories of love, resiliency, and strength. These individuals stand for all that can happen when we put compassion first and continue to change hearts and minds about farm animals.
