‘Pigs and dogs’: TV host ridicules Albanese and Burke over ‘photo op’ mosque visit

Sky News host James Morrow ridiculed Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and Home Affairs Minister Tony Burke for ignoring warnings and walking into a mosque in the Western Sydney suburb of Lakemba, where they were chased out by crowds shouting “pigs and dogs” and “Allahu Akbar.”

“He is a simple man … blundering into that mosque seems like a spectacular own goal,” Mr Morrow said.

“If only someone had suggested to Burke and Albo that this might not be the most well-advised photo op.

“According to an analysis by Drew Pavlou, approximately 1 in every 140 young Muslim men in the Western Sydney suburb of Lakemba joined ISIS or attempted to join ISIS at the height of the terrorist group's activity.”
