Ram Pump Crushes Pool Noodle

For some time I have wanted to fill a ram pump pressure tank with items and see how they worked as a pressure tank fill. The pool noodle was able to last for 30 hours. The lower part that was in the water seemed to have a lack of bounce back after the noodle was removed.

Is the pool noodle a valid pressure tank fill? I think that a longer test will show the answer.
