Great Smoky Mountains National Park - 8 Things to Do

As the most visited national park in the United States, the Great Smoky Mountains has plenty to offer. In this video, we show you 8 things you can do. Located in both North Carolina and Tennessee, and consisting of 522,419 acres, the Great Smokies attracts 12 million visitors a year, features a wide variety of trails, scenic viewpoints and waterfalls, including three of the highest mountains in eastern North America (Clingmans Dome, Mount Guyot and Mt LeConte) and is a protected haven for wildlife. It is also a UNESCO World Heritage site and the Appalachian Trail runs right through its center.

This video was apart of a series where we took a two week road trip from Shenandoah National Park down the Blue Ridge Parkway and explored the Great Smoky Mountains. From hiking various portions of the Appalachian Trail up to summits and balds, to exploring majestic waterfalls and bluffs and historical mills and cabins deep within Appalachia, we definitely enjoyed seeing the beauty of America's National Parks.
