To stop syncing your Instagram and Facebook profile pictures,
1. Open the Instagram app on your mobile device.
2. Tap on your profile picture.
3. Now, tap the three horizontal lines menu.
4. At the top of the screen, find and select Accounts Center.
5. From the Instagram Accounts Center screen, tap on Profiles.
6. Select the one from which you want to stop syncing your Instagram and Facebook profile pictures.
7. Select either Instagram or Facebook.
8. Turn off the toggle switch button next to Sync Profile Info.
9. From the popup confirmation, tap on Stop Syncing.

Once you turn off profile picture syncing, any future changes to your Instagram or Facebook profile picture will need to be updated manually on each platform.
