The first RED ASA-LIFT Selfpropelled harvester

A short overview of a sharelifter in the new red ASA-LIFT colors.

The first self-propelled ASA-LIFT share-lifter which have been painted in red, has now been made – an SPS3-460BH with numerous essential and striking components that benefits the harvesting process.

Our self-propelled machinery is being increasingly used by more and more people, in the interest of making the harvesting operation more straightforward for the user and farmer. With dialogue, ASA-LIFT helps fulfill the customers wishes for the machine specifications, the SPS3-460BH illustrates our willingness to tailor a machine for the customer. The comfort of controlling a self-propelled machine is an increment to trailed machinery, with a broad view from the cab you’ll get a great overview of the machine, contrary to the trailed machines there’s no turning the drivers head 180° to see the pickup section, as it is just next to the cab. The cabs are designed to ease control of the machine with custom built controls and monitors, to ensure that the driver gets all necessary information without struggle.

Notable technology on this SPS3-460BH is the combination of an elevator and a 6 tons bunker - with multiple purposes. The elevator ensures that the machine can work with a continuous quick flow and direct loading into a trailer driving next to the machine under favorable conditions, this ensures maximum yield per hour as there’s no stopping in harvesting. The bunker can support the process as a buffer in instances where there might not be enough trailers for an endless unloading, the elevator arm pivots up along the machine and continues to fill the bunker, capable of holding 6 tons carrots. In lousy conditions where some tractors and trailers may not be able to drive, the SPS3-460BH will just use filling into the bunker, and unload whenever it’s filled up. The whole share lifting section on the machine is designed as a interchangeable unit, so a 4-rowed top-lifting section can replace the share lift, by means of this it’s possible to do top-lifting in the summer times where the carrot tops are standing tall, and share lifting in the colder periods where the tops have laid flat.

The share lifting section on this SPS3-460BH is 135 cm wide comparable to 4 rows of carrots, but can be built with widths from 135 cm to 200 cm. As an common option, the pickup section is equipped with an automatic height adjustment that constantly adjusts the height of the pickup, ensuring that the drive doesn’t have to worry about it. Furthermore, the pickup is automatically levelled in the roll axis too, so if the ground that’s being harvested on is skewed, the pickup automatically corrects for it, to ensure that no unnecessary soil gets picked up by the pickup being deeper down in one side.

The cleaning webs are divided into two sections with multiple hydraulic cleaning rollers mounted underneath, this guarantee a very efficient and gentle cleaning as known from ASA-LIFT machines. By the end of the cleaning section there’s two overlapped hedgehog cleaners followed by a star-table especially designed for carrot cleaning - these different sections assure that a very soil-free product comes out at the very end.

A 400 HP 9.0L John Deere engine with best-in-class fuel economy, is the powerhouse that propels the machine. A torque up to 1554 Nm compared with the CLAAS Terra Trac makes this machine unstoppable and ready to push through these harsh conditions.
