How to get the best sound for Fitness Instructors using zoom

We have been leading virtual group fitness classes for over 2 months. We created this video to help other fitness instructors. We have been asked how we get such great sound. If you want the best sound for clients to be able to hear your music as well as the instructor cues take a look at our setup. We teach a variety of music driven classes and we want the quality of the sound to be as close to our studio experience as possible. I've seen ways to share your music and we tested dozens of way and this works the best with minimal investment. But since our instructors are teaching from home and we don't want to invest 100s or 1000s of dollars this works.

First you will want to use a bluetooth speaker from another device. We use our phones, you can use another computer, tablet etc. Then you will have a mic that can be plugged into your USB.

The mic is not required but it does help improve your sound as our built in mics are not that great.

Now we have to go in and change the settings in your zoom. (watch video for specifics)

Some other tips for using zoom for fitness classes:
- rename your screen : this is great if you are using one zoom account for your team of instructors
- mute all also check off their ability to unmute
- spotlight video so you are the one they see - change that if you are co-teaching
- adding a co-host is helpful if you want someone to be your admin or you will be co-teaching
- gallery view/speaker view
