JOHN DEERE 9650 STS HARVESTING 2018 CORN. SK FARMS 2018 CORN HARVEST FIELD 2 #2

This is a video series that follows SK Farms through the 2018 corn harvest. SK Farms had around 600 acres of corn to harvest and a small window to get it harvested before peanut harvest was to begin. The weather did not cooperate with them at all through the month of August into September. The four days in a row it did not rain they were broken down with an issue with the corn head. It rained just about every afternoon for the whole month of August and so far in September. One of those years! They finished corn on September 6th 2018. The corn in this video was at 17% moisture when it was harvested. This field was just across the road from the first field but was a lot drier. SK Farms is harvesting with a John Deere 9650 STS combine with a 606C corn head. The grain cart is a EZ Trail 510 being pulled by an John Deere 8235R.
