FLYING STANDBY ◆ TRAVEL DAY VLOG (Chicago to Salt Lake City) - I Got A Whole Exit Row To Myself!

Hey travelers! I frequently get asked in Instagram DM’s and YouTube comments about flying standby. I realize it’s a very closed system, so I’d be extremely curious, too!

I’m VERY lucky to have a best friend who is a flight attendant and has given me the amazing benefit to fly standby with her airline again this year!

In January 2020, I published an overseas standby travel day vlog that had a lot of interest from this fabulous community of travelers, so I thought I’d do another one when I flew standby domestically for this first time this week!

Thankfully, not a lot had changed with the process, and I had a fairly easy travel day once I got to the airport.

In my past flying experience, it doesn’t always go AS smoothly - since you’re simply trying to fly in an empty seat, so I was grateful for all that unfolded!

In today’s video, I take you along with me on my standby journey from Chicago ORD to Salt Lake City SLC, where I again peel back the curtain on what it’s like to fly in this method.
