Destiny 2: Crimson, Exotic Hand Cannon - Is It Good?

Crimson is a weird pulse rifle, hand cannon combination the likes of which we haven't really experienced too much. But does it replicate the Red Death experience in Destiny 2? Is it actually good or is this experiment a bust? How much of this description did I remember since I had to re-upload? Turns out, not much.
