I Flew to Italy to Buy MY NEWEST FERRARI! 296 Speciale First Drive

There's a new Ferrari on order to join my fleet, and today I'm flying to Italy to show it to you! To reveal all, we're at Fiorano, in the heart of Maranello, for some laps on circuit with the new car and then getting to be amongst the first in the world to drive it on the road. I cannot wait for this journey!

With a growing Ferrari collection, in recent years I've been focused on new models and ordering them in personal specifications - a process I really enjoy myself and sharing on the channel. However, I've also recently started down the route of the modern classics with the purchase of a stunning one-off 458 Speciale.

There's a new model that's landed on the horizon though that really grabs my attention, and today we're joining the International Media Test Drive with Ferrari to experience it for the first time, really get under the skin of what it's about, and figure out if this is going to be worth the money!

I'm delighted to announce that the new car on order... is the Ferrari 296 Speciale! It remains to be seen if it ill be the coupe of the even rarer, Speciale A - the Aperta, or convertible. However, with some amazing miles under my belt in the 296 GTS and the 458 Speciale, a blend of the 296 with the Speciale magic, sounds like the kind of recipe I'm interested in.

Upping the power to 880hp, it's the most powerful RWD series-production Ferrari ever, and taking the already fabulous platform of the 296 GTB and 296 GTS, it's piqued my interest from the day the model was announced. With the latest generation Ferrari technology under the skin, significant new aero including the Aero Damper pulling air from beneath the car up out of the windshield, and elements incorporated from the 296 Challenge and 296 GT3 racecars, it's quite the machine.

Not only that, I think the 296 Speciale is absolutely stunning. While some of the recent models have brought up more than their share of controversial conversation, the Speciale hits the nail on the head in a fantastic way. I'm very excited to be bringing this car to the channel and joining the collection, stay tuned for the road ahead!
