CataractCoach™ 1866: helpful suggestions for the soft nucleus
In this case our guest surgeon is performing cataract surgery on a soft nucleus. These surgeries can be tricky because it's difficult to divide such a soft nucleus. My preferred technique in these cases is to use hydro-dissection to prolapse the nucleus up out of the capsular bag and then emulsify it and aspirate it the iris plane.
