Beware of this popular salary negotiation advice doing the rounds 🚩🚩🚩

Please don't try to trick the recruiter, and say you can't share your salary due to an NDA.

Not only are NDAs incredibly rare, they lawfully CAN'T contain provisions that prohibit the discussion of pay.

It's not a thing - you'll look like you've lied (cos you have), and the recruiter simply won't trust you.

My advice? Don't share your salary, but not for a made up reason. Instead, focus on the salary range of this role, not your current one.
