I remember, how all my conscious childhood I dreamed about this set, looking at its fascinating picture in the Lego advertising catalog for hours. How many letters were written every year in the hope of finding it in the morning under the New Year tree, but neither Father Frost, nor Santa Claus and even the Snow Maiden continued to stubbornly ignore my countless requests.

At the end of the 1994 film "Santa Claus", the eponymous protagonist fulfill the childhood wishes of his son's new family (watch this kind old family movie to understand this, it's worth spent time). He gives the boy's stepfather a sausage whistle, which he dreamed of as a child, but never received it. When I saw this scene for the first time on TV as a child, I remembered his reaction at that moment for the rest of my life. Apparently even then, in despair, I shared these emotions with him.

So. This is my sausage whistle. And I got it exactly on my birthday.
It's never too late to be Santa. Even for himself.
