Teaching growth mindset and specifically growth mindset mathematics is a learned skill. It encourages the brain to grow and achieve math success. The phrase “I’m just not good at math” has no validity according to many studies on learning conducted by Carol Dweck and other researchers in the field.In this growth mindset video I will introduce examples of how to encourage students to formulate a positive growth mindset in math.

Also I will provide examples of a growth mindset for teachers in the classroom to encourage analyzing and discussion of math mistakes, provide open-ended math tasks and remove emphasis on speed.
