President Tinubu Pushes Mineral Beneficiation Across Africa

President Bola Tinubu has declared that Africa must move beyond exporting its mineral resources in raw form and embrace value addition as a key strategy for economic transformation and industrial development.

The President's message was delivered by the Minister of Solid Minerals Development, Dele Alake, at the 5th African Natural Resources and Energy Investment Summit held in Abuja.

According to the President, Africa possesses enormous mineral wealth that should be processed and transformed locally to create jobs, boost industrialisation, increase export earnings, and strengthen economic resilience across the continent.

The summit brought together policymakers, investors, industry leaders, and stakeholders to discuss sustainable resource development and investment opportunities in Africa's mining and energy sectors.
