Alex Rudinger - Conquering Dystopia - "Inexhaustible Savagery"

It's been awhile since I've uploaded anything on the "Tech / Death Metal" end of the spectrum, so I figured why not post an old Conquering Dystopia tune ?! ;) This is one of my favorite songs on the Conquering album, & I always wanted to do a video for it. So here it is - "Inexhaustible Savagery".

Shoutout to my friend Steve, owner of this BEAUTIFUL Tama Starclassic Maple drum kit. He let me borrow it for a few days so I could use something different to track some videos with - it had been awhile since I tracked a Maple kit at home, & let me tell you, it RULED ! Gonna have to get another Maple kit of my own soon... ;) Sizes are as followed (diameter by depth) -

This is also my first drum video where I am using TRICK Pro1-V Bigfoot pedals! I've been playing the Pro1-V's for the last 6 months or so & absolutely love them.

I tracked the song several times, and ended up comp'ing together two takes. The first half of the song is one take, & the second half is from another (the camera's also switch takes to match, not that you'll notice). I'm really not a fan of guys using one camera & playing through a song multiple times to get multiple angles; the miming never looks right to me (& it's wicked lame). So I am fortunate to have accumulated so many camera's over the years.
