Hornby Thomas Fail - Where are my Traction Tyres?

My Hornby Thomas train does not perform like the one I saw in Simierski's Hornby / Bachmann review found here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WsXc0TEj08c&feature=channel_video_title
