On-Device Machine Learning: Core ML & Create ML for your next app! - James Dale

Mobile devices are getting ever more powerful. With incredible performance capabilities now at our fingertips, machine-learning mobile applications are on the rise. Within the Apple ecosystem, Create ML and Core ML technologies allow developers to build realtime, personalised experiences that run on-device and leverage powerful hardware technology including the Apple Neural Engine. The technology allows you to create limitless experiences, including experiences incorporating image, sound, text, motion, and tabular data. In this talk we will go over some of these technology offerings and how you can leverage them to create compelling experiences.

James has just completed a twelve month internship in the Core Machine Learning team at Apple in California. Having been programming since the age of six, James has a passion for creating technology and tooling for everybody to be able to express their creativity and enable coding for everyone. He has completed his VCE and has worked at technology companies in Melbourne.
