Claude artifact: Monte Carlo Model in Excel v/s an Interactive Web App

This short clip looks at a cool Claude artifact with a Monte Carlo workflow used for probabilistic estimation, the kind of analysis subsurface teams rely on to put ranges around uncertain inputs and outputs.

The same model runs in two places at once: an Excel version and an interactive web app, shown side by side behind a divider you can drag across the screen. Both sides stay connected, so moving a slider updates the calculation in either view. The whole thing was assembled as a Claude artifact straight from the underlying numbers.

Seeing one model in two formats makes a practical point. The analysis is the asset, and a familiar spreadsheet can extend into a shareable browser tool without rebuilding the work from scratch.
