We have lost 75% of insect bio mass over the past decades. Choosing pollinator friendly plants for the garden helps to boost insect populations but of course only if you don't use any pesticides/herbicides. These days our garden is full of insects, a pleasure to watch. If you have plenty of insects and create various habitats you'll get lots of birds, mammals, lizards and bats. Everything is connected. 🙏

Die Biomasse der Fluginsekten hat in den letzten Jahrzehnten um 75% abgenommen. Im Garten lassen sich Insekten durch pollen- und nektarrreiche Pflanzen fördern. Das funktioniert natürlich nur, wenn wir keinerlei Herbizide/Insektizide verwenden. Dieser Tage ist unser Garten voller Summen und Brummen – es ist eine Freude, all das Leben zu beobachten. Wenn es viele Insekten und verschiedene Habitate gibt, finden sich automatisch Vögel, Eidechsen, kleine Säugetiere und Fledermäuse ein. Alles ist miteinander verbunden. 🙏
