If you’re buying or selling an EV, battery health is everything — and this Voltest EV Battery State of Health certificate is a brilliant way to show real-world confidence.

In this video I’m looking at a 2020 Hyundai Kona EV 64kWh Voltest report showing 100% SOH, but also a 20mV cell imbalance (delta voltage / cell spread). That sounds scary if you don’t know what you’re looking at — but in reality 20mV is well within tolerance and is generally considered very acceptable.

I’ll explain what the certificate is actually telling you, what a cell imbalance means in real terms, and then I’ll show you how to improve it even further by encouraging the pack to balance properly.
