Hiking Diamond Head. In this video, I take you with me on a full hike of Diamond Head crater. If you've never done the trail before and are curious about the terrain, this is the video for you. If you enjoy hiking, then the Diamond Head Hike is definitely a must on your visit to Oahu located minutes from Waikiki. Originally the trail was built in 1908 by the Army, the Diamond Head hiking trails takes you to an elevation of 762 feet with impressive views of Waikiki from the Diamond Head Summit. You may also see Diamond Head referred to as "Leahi" -- it's Hawaiian name.
