SWFL Eagles ~ Sibling Rivalry ~ Private Feeding For E13 & Sleeping Beauties 12.27.18

It was another day full of sibling rivalry between the E's. M is on the nest getting ready for a feeding as E13 bonks 12 which makes 12 react and bonk back. They both go to Dad to eat and again 13 bonks 12 at 3:22 which was not a good thing as 12 displays aggression back to 13. E13 went into submissive mode at that point and then later got up & was waiting to eat when E12 showed more aggression pulling out downy feathers and pulling on E13's wing. Dad finally went over to brood to stop it. Closeups of the E's sleeping at 6:04 with E12 on the left. You can also see the considerable size difference between them as E12 is eating the most at each feeding whereas E13 being the youngest and subject to the sibling rivalry is getting less. While E12 is sleeping & in a food coma, Harriet gives E13 a private feeding taking care to feed small bites. Thank you for watching!
