How to Fix Tilting Feiyu-Tech G4 3-Axis Handheld Gimbal

Having owned several of the Feiyutech gimbals I have noticed a tilting problem where the camera leans to the left while filming. It seems that this problem worsens as the battery runs low and is sometimes worse than others. Upon searching YouTube for solutions, I found several videos from people with the same issue. One proposed solution was to unscrew the gimbal and untwist wires… this didn’t work for me. Another proposed solution was to download the latest firmware from the Feiyu-Tech website but it was not loading properly and the drivers needed for the older G4 3-Axis Handheld model I own may have been taken down or no longer available. I did check their new downloads page but the specific files I seemed to need were either missing or had been renamed, I also don’t have a PC and would have had to borrow one from a friend since the software does not work on Mac. Finally, I was able to locate an official manual with instructions that listed out the following steps:

Initialization Instructions:
1. Install the camera properly.
2. Place the Gimbal on stationary flat and keep motionless.
3. Power on the Gimbal.
4. The Gimbal is activated and it will be initialized automatically. Afterward pick up the Gimbal and start working with it.
Note: The LED of the function button will fast flashing if the initialization succeeded.

My apologies for the poor English in those instructions. I copied it directly as-is from the manual I found at http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/C1p7MPO-PkS.pdf which includes a picture. Ultimately, this worked best for leveling the camera and getting rid of the tilted view that was making shots angled and uneven. You can see the other links I tried for solutions below:

Going through all of the potential solutions I tried here included twisted cables inside the gimbal, firmware and software upgrades and eventually recalibration which worked in my case but I do show all attempts at the varying potential fixes.
