White Mountain Peak

On June 22nd, 2024 I finally bagged my first 14er. Five of us set out and summited White Mountain Peak. The temperatures were just about perfect for the hike with some 30s in the morning warming to maybe 60 by the parking area in the afternoon. The trail itself is very straightforward and even the steeper sections towards the summit aren't too bad if you pace yourself. While it is by most estimations the easiest 14er in California it is still challenging due to its altitude and 15 mile round-trip distance. Plus the remoteness of the location requires a very lengthy drive along endless miles of dirt roads that are not in great condition.
