Washington/Cherry Pie Hike at Jennings Environmental Center

2/22/25 Beautiful sunny weather brought interested crowds young & old to Jennings Environmental Center in Butler County, PA. This event combines President George Washington's birthday & the Virginia Colony mission demanding that the French withdrawal from the British territory that caused the French & Indian War. History & hiking began at 9 am & ended at 1 pm. Hikers could chose from the 30 minute guided history hikes, the 60 minute guided nature walk, or the 7 mile hike along the North Country Trail where George Washington possibly traveled. Slices of cherry pie were enjoyed by hikers.
