What to Do When Something is Attenuating Your Wireless Dog Fence Signal

http://www.havahartwireless.com/keys-to-success/wireless-fence-factors#attenuation - Do you suspect that the Fence Boundary of your Custom-Shape or Radial-Shape Havahart® Wireless Dog Fence is obstructed? If you have noticed that your Roaming Area does not extend as far as you expect or as far as you would like it to, you may be dealing with attenuation. Watch this video to learn about attenuation and how you can fix it.

When an object in or around your home obstructs the signal, your resulting electric dog Fence Boundary may appear to be different than the path you walked when recording the Boundary. Some signal-limiting obstructions include microwaves, mirrors, power meters, downspouts, air conditioners, concrete walls, aluminum siding, metal garage doors, dense landscaping, and heavily-wooded lots. The denser an obstructing object is, the more severe the effect on your wireless dog containment system will be. Attenuation can occur in all wireless dog fences.

In this video, you will learn how to identify these attenuating objects and how to adjust them, or your Bases, so you can make the most out of Havahart® Wireless Dog Fences. View our wireless dog fence keys to success at http://www.havahartwireless.com/keys-to-success/wireless-fence-factors.
