Once a year we need new wood chips for energy for our hotel heating system. By using locally sourced wood we contribute our share to the prevention of global warming.
Logs are dried until 30-35% water content, then shredded to chips after which further drying takes place in the storage on the left due to heat released by the decomposing of the wood. Our tractor feeds the chips into the storage bunker of the heating system where a hydrolic press feeds the chips into the 100 Kw heating system. The volume of chips generated in the video is sufficient for 1 year.
This time the latest 850 HP wood chipper Albach Diamant from Reckinger in Luxemburg came to do the job. It is a spectacular event and many of out hotel guests came to watch this happening. The giant wood chipper fills the storage hall with 180m3 of wood chips in less then 60 minutes....

Nachhaltigkeit bei Villa Vontenie - Der neueste Albach Diamant mit 850 PS der Firma Reckinger aus Luxemburg kommt 1x pro Jahr und Häckselt unser Holz für die Heizung.
Hier die Zusammenfassung mit den dicksten Stämmen, die jedoch überhaupt kein Problem sind für den 850 PS starken Motor.
Es passen jetzt 180m3 Hackschitzel in der Halle rein. Der Häcksler benötigt dafür knapp 60 Minuten.
