🔋 DIY Emergency Power Bank Circuit | How to Make a 5V Mobile Charger with 7805 IC ⚡

Welcome to my channel! In this video, I’ll show you step by step how to make a simple DIY emergency power bank using a 9V battery, a 7805 voltage regulator IC, and a few basic electronic components you probably already have at home.

📲 What is this project?
This is a basic mobile charging circuit that converts a 9V battery’s power to a stable 5V output using the 7805 IC. It’s perfect as a quick backup solution when you don’t have your regular charger or power bank — ideal for emergencies, camping, or power cuts.

⚙️ How does it work?
The 7805 IC is a popular voltage regulator that outputs a steady 5V, which is exactly what most USB devices need. In this circuit, the 9V battery provides the input voltage. A capacitor smooths out the voltage for safer charging. The regulated output can charge low-power USB devices like mobile phones in urgent situations.

🔧 Materials Used:
✔️ 1 x 9V Battery
✔️ 1 x 7805 Voltage Regulator IC
✔️ 1 x Capacitor (e.g. 470µF or 1000µF, optional but recommended)
✔️ Connecting wires
✔️ USB port (or USB cable cut and wired directly)
✔️ Basic soldering tools (optional, you can also use jumper wires)

⚡ Important Note:
This DIY power bank is for emergency use only — a single 9V battery has limited capacity and will only give you a short charge boost. It won’t fully charge a modern smartphone, but it’s very useful when you need a few extra minutes of battery life.

📚 What You’ll Learn in This Video:
✅ How to connect and wire a 7805 IC properly
✅ Why we use a capacitor with a voltage regulator
✅ How to make a safe emergency USB charger
✅ Tips to avoid common mistakes
✅ Simple explanations for beginners

💡 Why build this?
Building small DIY circuits like this helps you understand basic electronics, voltage regulation, and how to power USB devices safely. It’s also a great starter project if you’re interested in Arduino or other microcontroller projects.

🔋 Always stay prepared!
This emergency charger can be kept in your bag, toolbox, or car for unexpected situations when your phone is dead and you don’t have access to a plug or power bank.
