Opal Clam Challenge - CRUSHED IT!

I demonstrate the cutting of an opalized clam. Opalized clams are common in the opal fields of Australia. Most clams consist largely of common (non-colorful) opal, but some have such opals may have small amounts of color that can be used for opal jewelry. This 82 ct common opalized clam was examined thoroughly and ground and cut to produce a very nice opal gemstone. Opal courtesy of Riley Gunn. Find him at:https://www.opalauctions.com/stores/53frogs
