Integrated Generation Planning

Integrated Generation Planning is a long-term process that holistically plans power generation and its supporting infrastructure to meet future energy needs reliably, affordably, and sustainably. Unlike traditional, siloed approaches, it coordinates the development of different energy resources (such as traditional, renewable, and storage) with transmission and distribution systems. The goal is to identify the most optimal and resilient path by considering all parts of the energy value chain together to minimize costs, manage risks, and achieve goals like decarbonization.
