VW T4 Eurovan | How the T4 Transporter transformed the VW Camper

The #VWT4 Transporter was a big break from tradition when Volkswagen introduced it in September 1990. Gone were the rear-engined, air-cooled engines that had been a key character of first three generations of "classic" transporters. Instead, there was a whole new range of water-cooled powerplants up front.

This video shows how the fourth generation of Transporter - known as the #vweurovan in the USA - introduced many new features modern #vwcamper fans take for granted - sliding doors on either or both sides, a choice of barn doors or tailgate - and the option for extra camping space inside with a long-wheelbase version.
