Ruby (Leelee Sobieski), aged 16, and Rhett Rhett (Trevor Morgan), 11, their parents die in an accident traffic, upsetting the happy existence completely and without worries of their two teenage children. Guys decide to move to a fabulous mansion in Malibu with the Glass (Stellan Skarsgard and Diane Lane), old friends of the family. But Ruby begins to find clues that suggest who now are guardians may be involved somehow in the death of his parents. Ruby must face alone with the terrifying couple, and she is the only that stands between them and 4 million $ rightful inheritance
