20,000 Workers Left Their Names Inside the Great Pyramid #history #archaeology #shorts

For decades, many believed the Great Pyramid of Giza was built by slaves. But archaeologists discovered something very different. The pyramid builders were skilled workers who lived in organized villages with bakeries, breweries, kitchens, and even medical care.

Around 20,000 workers may have helped build the Great Pyramid over nearly 20 years, hauling millions of stone blocks across the Egyptian desert. Skeletons show signs of broken bones, crushed spines, and brutal labor — yet many workers received treatment and honorable burials near the pyramids themselves.

Some labor gangs even left graffiti hidden inside the pyramid, including names like “Friends of Khufu.” More than 4,500 years later, their work still stands as one of the greatest engineering achievements in human history.
