Managing Parkinson’s: What Is Freezing?

Freezing is the temporary, involuntary inability to move. Many people with Parkinson’s experience “freezing of gait,” where their feet feel stuck to the ground. Freezing can also affect other body parts and can even affect thinking and speech. In this video, a movement disorders specialist explains freezing and what causes it, and people with Parkinson’s describe how they experience freezing.
