Temps return to the 70s after rain in NYC

Mother's Day started out on a wet note across the tri-state area, but conditions began drying out during the early afternoon hours, and a few locations even saw some peeks of sun.

It was unseasonably cool, however, as afternoon temperatures only reached the low to mid-50s. Central Park's high was just 56 degrees, a good 15 degrees below normal.
