Poor load distribution and inadequate load restraint created a serious safety risk. The load should have been spread across the entire trailer (2 stacks at the front and 2 at the back) and secured with enough chains for its weight. Using only 3 chains to restrain a 26-tonne rebar load is not sufficient — at least 7–8 properly rated chains were required.
The final image shows the correct method: the whole trailer is used to distribute the load evenly, and 8 chains are applied to secure a similar 26-tonne rebar load safely. Shortcuts in load restraint can cost lives. Secure it properly, every time.
