Speak Up! - The Language and Linguistics of Women

Women are often programmed by society to apologize for their successes, innovations, courtesies, and kindnesses. We have other linguistic tendencies in all forms of our communication that are not owned by our male counterparts. This session will explore the challenges of "speaking like a lady" and help attendees fight off the influences causing us to be contrite when we’re actually right.
